TOKYO, JAPAN– An interesting new game show is taking the Japanese world by storm and has been making its way over to America which has the host, contestants, the announcers, and even the audience do nothing but scream the word ‘hai’ (はい) and perform other random things for the entire three hour broadcast.
The creator of the hit program Orokana Hito (愚かな人) admits he has no idea what the show means or what the rules are, but thought it was hilarious and made perfect sense.
“Hai,” said the show’s host Hen’na (変な) in a loud voice to get the show started. “Hai, hai, hai, hai-hai. Hai-hai-hai!”
Two of the contestants giggled before yelling “hai” while hitting each other over the head with baseball bats.
“Hai,” said a male contestant named Baka (馬鹿) for the four thousandth time as blood ran down his face like a river. “Hai, hai, hai-hhhhh-hai.”
A cute, little Japanese girl named Kurutta On’na (狂った女) giggled and bowed while saying “hai” over and over again, then picked up a samurai sword and lopped off another contestant’s head, causing audience members to break out into hysterical laughter as they chanted “hai” also.
The show’s first episode ended with a goat ripping off a man’s genitals, an ecstatic woman drinking cyanide, and the host decapitating his own head while the severed head kept on repeating “hai” until the announcer finally stomped on it.
At publishing time, the new game show (ゲームショウ) Hai was officially canceled after Japanese viewers deemed the show too boring and not graphic enough for their children to watch.
