MENSTRA, TEXAS– A woman recently left her husband and filed for divorce after falling in love with a baboon that she had met at the local zoo.
Jill Gayle, a 41 year old part-time cashier, met Benny the baboon during a trip to the zoo one day while on her 15 minute lunch break.
Gayle claims that she fell in love with Benny as soon as she saw the feisty baboon inside of his cage pimp-slapping a female baboon who had cheated him out of some bananas.
“Unfortunately my husband never dominated me like that,” said Gayle to a reporter with Benny’s large, hairy arm wrapped around her throat. “My husband was always so kind and always so docile. I hated that. My whole life I always wanted a real man who was more dominate and not so weak. Benny’s definitely that man.”
On their first date, Gayle and Benny hung out inside of the baboon cage while all the other baboons as well as people within the zoo looked on in shock and confusion.
Benny’s handler John Truvada was the one who set up Gayle and Benny on their first date, which included eating lemons during a private viewing of the movie The Lion King.
“They make a great couple,” Truvada said of the two lovebirds. “Benny told me in sign language that he plans on marrying Gayle and moving her into his cage. I told Benny that taking care of a wife isn’t easy, but he says that Gayle and the other female baboons will be doing most of the work.”
Gayle isn’t the only one just coming out of a relationship. Last year Benny got engaged to another woman, but called the relationship off after he caught her cheating on him with an orangutan.
