HELEN, GEORGIA– For many people struggling with an addiction, trying to break their habit can seem like an impossibility. A man from Georgia claims that it is the addiction of the vices that he is addicted to, not the vices themselves.
Horshaw Trudeau, 52, says that he smokes ten packs of cigarettes a day, drinks five six packs of beer daily, gambles every night, indulges in illicit street drugs and prescription medications, has had sexual intercourse with thousands of prostitutes along with many other vices, but claims that he derives absolutely no enjoyment from any of these activities. Trudeau says it’s the addiction to the addiction that turns him on and keeps him doing it.
“I can’t get enough of being addicted to addiction,” Trudeau told a local ABC news affiliate as he injected himself with heroin. “I can’t really explain it, but there’s something so addicting about being addicted to addiction.”
Trudeau went on to say that he has a collection of over one thousand pairs of shoes, as well as 200 tabby cats living within his home. Halfway through the interview, Trudeau broke down and said that he has sought assistance for his addiction to addiction and that all the activities are only an outlet for his addiction addiction.
“I don’t even like cats or shoes,” he said, showing the cameraman his bare feet and also medical papers proving that he has an allergy to felines. “They just occupy my mind for a short time and give me a break from the incurable addiction addiction. I just hope that one day there’ll be more research done that caters to people addicted to the idea of addiction, not just for the urge for alcohol, smoking, drugs, or cats.”
After the interview, Trudeau said that, even though he hates giving interviews, he wanted to give yet another interview, saying that he is now addicted to the addiction of giving interviews.
