WASHINGTON– It was a tense moment Wednesday morning during the Senate confirmation hearings when a visibly nervous Senator Lindsey Graham grilled Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi on whether she plans on launching an investigation into the reason why millions of Americans refer to him as “Ladybug.”
After Bondi was sworn in, both Democrat and Republican senators took turns asking her questions in order to see her qualifications for becoming President-Elect Donald Trump’s attorney general. Once it was Senator Lindsey Graham’s turn, it was quite apparent that he had a lot more on his mind than just the security of the nation.
“Mrs. Bondi, the attorney general of the United States is a very powerful position,” said Lindsey Graham as beads of sweat fell down his face like a river. “The attorney general is the top dog in this country and can launch investigations into many things, including the lives of elected officials. Mrs. Bondi, I’m not going to beat around the proverbial bush any longer, so I want to know, if you get confirmed will you be looking into why I’m known as ‘Ladybug,’ ‘Lady G,’ and ‘Miss Lindsey?'”
Rumors have circulated for years about the personal life of Graham, in particular to his odd connection to the little red and black beetle called the ladybug.
At publishing time, web searches for “Why is Lindsey Graham called Ladybug” were up 69,000 percent.
