NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK– Only days after getting bombarded on Twitter X regarding one of his posts, Sesame Street’s Elmo was involved in yet another controversy after Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David physically assaulted the high-pitched Muppet on an episode of the Today show.
According to witnesses on the show, Elmo was droning on and on about mental disorders which caused the irascible David to grab the whiny Muppet by the throat and choke him out on live television, much to the horror of the show’s five viewers.
One of those five viewers just happened to be UFC head Dana White, who offered Elmo and David a chance to settle their differences inside the octagon cage in some kind of weird Hollywood celebrity match involving an anthropomorphic puppet and an angry, old Jewish actor.
“It’ll be the match of the century,” said Dana White, building up the excitement for the upcoming MMA fight. “Both parties have already agreed to face each other and have even agreed to a ‘no holds barred’ match where anything goes.”
Larry David said he can’t wait to rip the cotton from out of Elmo’s head and has already been practicing his fighting skills by having a few of his aides spar with stuffed Elmo toys.
“Elmo doesn’t stand a chance against the Hebrew Hammer,” joked David after doing half of a pushup and then taking a break. “When I told Elmo I was sorry on the Today show, I wasn’t actually sorry that I attacked him. I was sorry I didn’t finish kicking his little red ass, but I promise I’ll finish the job during our UPS, UAE, UHF, or whatever the hell that fighting place is called.”
Elmo shot back at David on his Twitter X account and said no one disrespects him on television like that and plans on using prison rules during his anticipated match with the Hollywood actor.
