U.S.– In celebration of this year’s Veterans Day, we would like to honor all the courageous cats who risked it all and put their nine lives on the line to serve their country, especially recognizing the top three heroes who have gone down in history as America’s most ferocious felines.
From soldiers to generals to even presidents, brave cats have left an indelible impression on not only the United States, but also the world.
Although there were so many lionhearted military cats to choose from, we have narrowed the field of fearless felines down to the top three chivalrous cats to have ever fought and served in the US military.
The top 3 are:
3. General George S. Catton
George Catton was a famous general who commanded the Seventh United States Feline Army against the German Rex breed cats during World War II. General Catton was colorfully nicknamed “Old Scud-And-Struts” for the way he’d prance right up to the enemy in the battlefield and claw their eyes out. Catton played a huge part in the Battle of Indulge where he reportedly ate so many fish that he needed to be airlifted off the field.
2. Audie Furry
Audie Furry was the most decorated US cat soldier of all time, being bestowed with numerous military honors such as the Distinguished Service Claw, Purring Heart, and the Presidential Meowing of Honor. Furry also went on to become an actor, starring in such classics as The Red Badge of Catnip.
1. George Whiskerton
George Whiskerton was a general and commander in the Catinental Army and later went on to become the first cat president of the United States of America, making him one of the most famous military cats in US history. Whiskerton has been called the “Feline of his Country” for his part in drafting the Catstitution of the United States, which has become the supreme law of the country. Whiskerton has been memorialized by litter boxes, cat towers, veterinarian hospitals, and toys.
Happy Veterinarians Day.
Purrfect. Cute.
