LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA– Coming off a three year hiatus from pursuing solo projects, pliable progressive rock band trio Rubber Band released a new album titled Hold On To Me, delivering 12 blistering rock songs and three music videos on what they’re calling their tightest album to date.
Hold On To Me features collaborations with Pink Floyd on “Elasticity,” Rush on “Vibration Damper” and Genesis on “Tapping the Rubber Tree,” along with vocals from Alan Parsons, Bono and Roger Daltrey.
“We’re thrilled to finally put another album out,” said lead singer and red member Styrene in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. “It was a long time in the making, but we feel like this’s gonna be our most constricting album to date. We had to pull a lotta strings to get such a fine group of musicians to contribute to our project.”
“I’m definitely attached to this album,” said guitarist Loop as he tuned his yellow rubber. “The album took a little bit longer than we expected since we lost our last drummer after he snapped.”

For the last two years there’s been much speculation about when Rubber Band might be ready with a new album, being that the life of a Rubber Band tends to become brittle after a certain amount of time.
“I know you guys were waiting patiently,” blue Synthetic stated, the new drummer for Rubber Band. “But we didn’t just want to release the album and have it not hold together properly. We needed the right support and I really feel like I was the glue that Rubber Band needed to stick together for the long haul.”
