NEW YORK — Standing before a high-definition camera in front of City Hall, far-left socialist Muslim Mayor Zohran Mamdani released a chilling video Friday in which he stood behind a window air conditioner and beheaded it with a survival knife, declaring the appliance an enemy of the people and the planet.
The broadcast, designed to terrorize any remaining Upper East Side residents secretly harboring functioning refrigeration, reached its climax when Mamdani signaled for the execution of the sentence. The Mayor spent twenty minutes reading a formal list of grievances against the appliance.
“For too long, these imperialist hums have sabotaged our collective revolution against the grid,” Mamdani declared, wearing a Jihadi John-style black mask and clothing. “This machine has selfishly stolen 1.2 kilowatts per hour from the proletariat. It has refused to accept the progressive, equitable reality of an 82-degree living room. Today, we show the people of New York what happens to counter-revolutionary cooling.”
Following the broadcast, the Mayor’s office announced that fragments of the executed air conditioner would be distributed across the five boroughs to be hung from streetlights as a visual reminder of the city’s net-zero mandates.
At press time, Mayor Mamdani announced a new initiative in which city workers will go door-to-door removing air conditioners from buildings deemed excessively comfortable.
