WASHINGTON– As the crucial presidential election draws closer, Vice President Kamala Harris has stated emphatically that no one should go to jail for smoking weed, totally glossing over the fact that she has herself jailed thousands of people for weed during her time as California’s attorney general.
Harris has faced intense backlash on social media for her hypocritical stance on marijuana usage, but promised all her naysayers that she’s not a hypocrite but just a typical Democrat.
“Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed,” wrote Harris on Twitter X in total denial of her own insincerity. “What kind of heartless tyrant would jail a person for smoking marijuana as a way to alleviate pain from debilitating illnesses. I promise you as a Democrat I would never do that and as we all know Democrats never lie or do hypocritical things.”
Vice President Harris went on to tout her strong record as an attorney general in California as proof that she has never locked anyone up for marijuana possession.
“I think my record speaks for itself,” posted Harris with a marijuana emoji. “I’ve never jailed anyone for weed usage, ever. I’m sure my gullible, I mean, smart supporters will believe me. Why would I jail someone for smoking weed when I did it myself while in college? That would be kind of hypocritical.”
In addition to admitting smoking weed in college as proof she now loves weed, Harris says she also watched a trailer for a Cheech & Chong movie one time.
