ATLANTA, GEORGIA– America’s most trusted news source CNN has made a formal apology this morning after receiving backlash on Twitter X for going over two minutes yesterday without mentioning racism, white supremacy, racial inequality, or any other news story that involves race-baiting.
The major mistake occurred around 2 PM on Monday during a live six hour marathon program that warned minorities to check under their beds at night to see if any white hoods were hiding there to attack them while they slept.
During the live broadcast, the error happened when CNN host Jake Tapper broke his on-air character for two minutes by asking fellow colleague Jim Acosta if he was still voting for Donald Trump in November.
“Our network mistakenly went two full minutes without talking about race, white supremacy, or racial inequality,” Tapper wrote in his official apology tweet. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Tapper later posted that CNN will never make the terrible mistake again of not constantly race-baiting their audience, explaining that him and Jim Acosta’s white privilege caused them to have a temporary lack of judgment.
“I apologize for my white privilege,” Jim Acosta said on today’s program as he knelt in solidarity under Anderson Cooper’s desk. “I’ll make up for that error by trying to create even more racial division in the United States.”
CNN later put out another apology statement saying that in order to make up for those lost two minutes they will be airing a twenty-four hour marathon of Al Sharpton preaching.
