TOKYO, JAPAN– Foreign workers entering the country using new working visas will be required to dress up in anime cosplay costumes, the Justice Ministry have said.
According to the new regulations, all foreign workers will be required to receive confirmation by government-appointed cosplay (コスプレ) experts that they are capable of dressing appropriately to be able to handle the stresses of dealing with Japan’s unique work environment.
Forms for the cosplay requirements will be available on the ministry’s all new cosplay culture website in over 2,000 languages, including Klingon, Ewokese, and Newspeak and will come with a complimentary manga (漫画) comic to show potential workers what lies ahead for them.
Once the forms get approved, foreign worker cosplayers will be able to dress up like their favorite anime cosplay characters such as Misa Amane and Miku Hatsuni, and then enter into the country, hopefully adding more flair to Japan’s waning quirkiness.
Japan (日本) is implementing the new visa requirements in an effort to attract more unique workers that better matches the wacky style of Japan’s culture.
The requirement for unique workers comes as surrounding countries are becoming even weirder and more outlandish than Japan.
When can I move?
Can’t wait to try on my new costume. Purr.
I wouldn’t doubt it. 😉
