MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA– Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was reportedly livid Wednesday evening after spotting her brother at a local food court with his arm wrapped around one of her other sisters.
Witnesses say Ilhan was screaming in Somali, pointing at her brother and sister like they were committing adultery, allegedly yelling about how he was ‘upgrading’ to a younger model. That’s when she started sobbing about how he’s ‘her’ husband, and not that other floozy who also happens to be her sister.
“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” said Ilhan Omar later to reporters, her voice shaking with territorial rage. “That’s my brother. I mean, our brother. But like, mostly mine in terms of, um, you know what, forget it.”
The incident comes just weeks after Omar’s viral speech about protecting family values. When asked for comment, Omar’s office released a statement saying she was simply defending her family from Western cultural norms such as relatives not marrying each other.
Meanwhile, the younger sister at the center of the scandal, has announced she’s seeking a restraining order against Omar, claiming she keeps calling her the ‘brother’s wife’ and sending her Quran verses about stealing another sister’s brother-husband.
