U.S.– Rumors are swirling in conservative circles that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has added Kermit the Frog to his vice president shortlist, causing Democrat political commenters to go into a panic at the possibility of Trump picking such a highly qualified, likable individual as the green Muppet.
Trump got the idea after CNN commenter Van Jones said during Thursday’s Situation Room that Donald Trump could pick Kermit the Frog as his vice president and people would still vote for him. Trump could sense the genuine anxiety in the Democrat’s eyes and voice at the possibility of Kermit being second in command of the country.
“Great news, folks,” wrote Trump on his Truth Social account. “In an effort to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, I have added another name to the shortlist of possible candidates to be my vice president. Let’s just say the Democrats will be green with envy after they find out who this highly qualified guy is I may end up choosing. He comes highly recommended and I’ve given my people the green light to go ahead with his background check. MAGA.”
Mainstream media outlets were abuzz at the news of Kermit signing on as Trump’s running mate, with many pundits claiming that there’s no way Biden can beat Trump with Kermit the Frog as his VP due to the fact that almost everyone in the country, both Democrat and Republican, love Kermit.
“It’s a smart move on Trump’s part to bring Kermit to the White House,” said Fox New host Sean Hannity. “According to the latest polls, Kermit is leading all the other possible Republican VP candidates in both likability factor as well as intelligence. It looks like CNN may have shot themselves in the foot by putting Kermit’s name out there in the first place.”
Sources close to the Biden administration are saying that Vice President Kamala Harris has been freaking out at the thought of having to debate someone like Kermit who is so much smarter and more likable than her.
