NEW YORK, NEW YORK– April Fools’ Day is a day of practical jokes and hoaxes, and to celebrate this unofficial hilarious holiday mainstream news media outlet MSNBC decided to prank their already gullible audience by actually reporting real news.
MSNBC Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough was all seriousness as he prepared to trick his viewers into thinking he was a legitimate, honest newscaster, starting off his show reporting that Joe Biden is an illegitimate president that stole the 2020 presidential election away from Donald Trump.
“I have some breaking news, everyone,” said Scarborough as his cohost Mika Brzezinski appeared tense at having to say something truthful. “Due to the overwhelming amount of evidence that has come to light over the past few years, yes it is true that Donald Trump is the rightful president who had the election wrongfully taken away from him from fake President Joe Biden.”
Scarborough went on to say that he understood that the news of Trump being the actual president may come as a shock to his left-leaning audience, but he felt compelled to tell the truth because that’s what reporters are really supposed to do.
“Oh, there’s one other thing I have to tell you,” said Scarborough, holding back his laughter. “April Fools’ Day, everyone. We really got you with this one. I’m sure our Democratic audience was scared that we were going to actually start telling the truth, instead of just telling you guys the lies that you want to hear.”
CNN also tried pranking their audience on April Fools’ Day by telling the truth, but the network wasn’t even able to be honest just to play a joke.
