{"id":6791,"date":"2019-05-13T13:47:51","date_gmt":"2019-05-13T18:47:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/?p=6791"},"modified":"2026-01-03T17:08:19","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T22:08:19","slug":"according-to-new-poll-10-out-of-3-americans-are-bad-at-math","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/index.php\/2019\/05\/13\/according-to-new-poll-10-out-of-3-americans-are-bad-at-math\/","title":{"rendered":"According To New Poll, 10 Out Of 3 Americans Are Bad At Math"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CHEYENNE, WYOMING&#8211; Even though most Americans claim that math is their strongest subject, a startling new poll out of the East Cheyenne Studies Institute says otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>The latest poll tested 1000 Americans on <em>two<\/em> basic math skills: addition, subtraction, and multiplication, with each of the <em>four<\/em> skills tying in second place among difficulty level.<\/p>\n<p>At 48 percent, addition problems were proven to be <em>ten<\/em> times more difficult than subtraction, which held steady at 76 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, multiplication problems scored at 16 percent difficulty, which was higher than the 48 percent difficulty of the addition problems.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 11 out of 2 Americans believe that polls taken at obscure institutes are an accurate measure of the country as a whole, citing <a href=\"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/index.php\/2017\/01\/22\/cnn-most-trusted-news-network-according-to-new-cnn-poll\/\">CNN polls<\/a> from unnamed experts as the most reliable.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These numbers surprise me,&#8221; said Carl Spackler, one of the Americans tested in the math poll and who works at a local golf course. &#8220;This must be the fake news reports everyone keeps talking about. I admit that sometimes I use my eleven fingers to count with, but that doesn&#8217;t mean I&#8217;m not good at math.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Research seems to support this recent poll.
