WASHINGTON \u2014 Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) took to Instagram Live this weekend to kick off her biological egg-freezing process several months ahead of schedule by swallowing three entire five-pound bags of gas station ice cubes.<\/p>\n

The two-hour broadcast<\/a>\u00a0was launched shortly after news broke that the Congresswoman was considering freezing her eggs to keep her political options open for 2028.<\/p>\n

“Taking control of my reproductive future is, like, totally badass,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a livestream to her millions of followers, while crunching down on a handful of bagged ice. “Why wait? If I’m going to freeze my eggs anyway, I figured I could start the process myself.”<\/p>\n

AOC<\/a> then announced that she was considering additional measures to ensure the eggs remained sufficiently frozen, including sleeping inside a walk-in freezer, replacing her morning coffee with a Slurpee, and spending several hours each day standing directly in front of an air conditioner.<\/p>\n

At press time, AOC was reportedly preparing to begin Phase Two of her egg-freezing strategy by sitting in a bathtub filled with ice while livestreaming the experience to her followers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
