TORONTO, CANADA \u2014 Concerned Canadian relatives gathered quietly in a semi circle around a living room coffee table Saturday morning to stage what they described as a loving, nonjudgmental intervention for a family member who continues to perform Prime Minister Mark Carney\u2019s now abandoned “Elbows Up” gesture months after the election ended and everyone collectively agreed to pretend it never happened.<\/p>\n
The family member, identified as longtime Liberal voter Kevin who once described the slogan as historic resistance energy, reportedly arrived at the gathering with both elbows raised defensively, instinctively flinching whenever someone mentioned housing prices, groceries, US President Trump, or the national debt.<\/p>\n
“Kevin, we just want you to know this comes from a place of love,” said Kevin\u2019s sister, gently sliding a Tim Hortons cup across the table like a peace offering. “But Trump is not running Canada, the election is over, and no one knows what you\u2019re signaling at the grocery store anymore.
