INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA– For the last two weeks, a local man named Bryce Rippin has been trying to create a new Twitter X account but has been unable to do so after failing every image match CAPTCHA<\/a> authentication.<\/p>\n

The frustrated Bryce has spent hours a day for the last fourteen days trying to match the two sets of furniture images on the Twitter X sign up page, but has gotten them wrong after thousands of attempts and many sleepless nights.<\/p>\n

“You have to be a rocket scientist to figure this thing out,” said Bryce in reference to the CAPTCHA test. “After fourteen days of trying nonstop, I was about ready to give up, but I figured I went this long I may as well see it out till the end.”<\/p>\n

The new Twitter X CAPTCHA test asks people who are trying to sign up for a new account to match the furniture image on the right to the one on the left, with owner Elon Musk<\/a> saying in a recent interview that he believes the test is way too easy and asked his engineers to increase the authentication page to one thousand image matches.<\/p>\n

“Due to the increase of bot accounts on X, I will be implementing a slight increase in CAPTCHA images,” wrote Elon on his official X account. “Starting today, anyone signing up for a new account must take the new CAPTCHA test and match up 1,000 images on the right to the ones on the left. Sorry for the inconvenience.”<\/p>\n

Never one to give up, Bryce said he’s disappointed that Elon increased the test so much but will continue to keep trying to get signed up to Twitter X because he heard that X is “what’s happening” and he wants to find out what it is that’s exactly happening.<\/p>\n

At publishing time, Bryce said that he still hasn’t been able to beat the CAPTCHA test yet and has recently quit his job at Starbucks to be able to spend more time trying to finally open a new X account.<\/p>\n
