{"id":10624,"date":"2019-09-29T13:54:36","date_gmt":"2019-09-29T18:54:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/?p=10624"},"modified":"2021-10-02T19:20:15","modified_gmt":"2021-10-03T00:20:15","slug":"annoying-tree-bark-keeps-neighbors-up-at-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/index.php\/2019\/09\/29\/annoying-tree-bark-keeps-neighbors-up-at-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Annoying Tree Bark Keeps Neighbors Up At Night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SEATTLE, WASHINGTON&#8211; A small neighborhood in Seattle is being terrorized by a wild tree&#8217;s bark and residents say that they&#8217;ve had enough.<\/p>\n<p>Police say a group of neighbors have come together and are petitioning their local government officials to do something about a rogue <a href=\"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/StagingSite\/index.php\/tag\/tree\/\">tree<\/a> that is going around town disturbing people as they try to sleep at night.<\/p>\n<p>No one knows who the tree belongs to, but some residents claim that the tree&#8217;s owner is a local environmentalist who is known to take in stray trees that other people have abandoned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m seriously thinking about moving,&#8221; said 37 year old Kerry Pike who claims the tree likes to stand motionless within her yard at night and purposely harass her. &#8220;I&#8217;m so tired of this. I&#8217;ve hardly gotten any sleep in months, thanks to this tree&#8217;s bark.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10626\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10626\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10626\" src=\"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/StagingSite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/TreeBark2-min.png\" alt=\"Woman with long black ponytail looking at tree outside window.\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" title=\"\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10626\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Frustrated resident Kerry Pike says that wild tree bark has been coming into her yard and keeping her up at night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With their numerous complaints to politicians falling on deaf ears, many frustrated residents have taken matters into the own hands.<\/p>\n<p>Resident Bill Ballard, 44, says that for the past six weeks the infamous tree has become such an annoyance that he has attempted to kill it on multiple occasions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The tree bark is always there,&#8221; said Ballard, showing local <a href=\"https:\/\/dailysoak.com\/StagingSite\/index.php\/tag\/fox-news\/\">Fox News<\/a> reporters the poisonous herbicide that he puts into a bowl in the hopes that the tree will drink it. &#8220;I&#8217;m not a tree hater. I actually love trees.
